Get to Know Jeff
How did you get into plumbing?
It wasn't really a choice โ it was a calling. My father and grandfather were plumbers, and I grew up watching them solve problems that stumped everyone else. By the time I was a teenager I was already on job sites. There's a satisfaction in plumbing that's hard to explain: you walk into a home with a crisis and you walk out leaving everything working perfectly. That never gets old.
What makes Father and Sons different from other companies?
We don't have a call center. When you call us, you're talking to someone who actually knows what a P-trap is. We price honestly, we show up when we say we will, and we stand behind every job. I've seen what happens when companies cut corners โ I've spent years fixing other people's mistakes. We just don't operate that way.
What's the most rewarding part of the job?
Honestly? The repeat customers. When a family calls us back for the third or fourth time, or refers their neighbor โ that's the real scorecard. We've got customers whose parents used my father's company. That kind of trust isn't something you can advertise your way into. You earn it one job at a time.
Any advice for homeowners trying to avoid plumbing emergencies?
Know where your main shutoff valve is โ right now, before anything goes wrong. I can't tell you how many thousands of dollars of water damage I've seen because someone couldn't find it in time. Beyond that: don't ignore slow drains, don't put grease down the kitchen sink, and get your water heater inspected every few years. Small maintenance saves big money.
